BizNDG is hiring a Project Coordinator

The Notre-Dame-de-Grâce business association (Biz NDG) is hiring a Project Coordinator (part-time, contractual, 15 hours/week).
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Project Coordinator is responsible for implementing and managing various projects
for the Association and supports the Board of Directors’ actions, with the goal of generating economic activity among the
district’s diverse local businesses and contributing to the commercial arteries’ commercial vitality.

Main tasks

• Support for the Board of Directors and governance: preparation of meetings and follow-ups, agendas, minutes, reminders, participation in meetings, compliance with internal management regulations;
• Implement the decisions and guidelines issued by the Board of Directors;
• Communications to members and partners: writing letters, newsletters, management of electronic mailing lists, member inquiries;
• Administrative support for various projects in collaboration with the City of Montreal, member services;
• Agreements and monitoring with service providers;
• Mobilize, inform and educate members;
• Collaborate in fundraising and sponsorships as needed;
• Maintain harmonious relationships with municipal partners in economic development;
• Execute specific administrative tasks (follow-up, email and telephone, etc.) necessary for the operation of the Association.

Skills and qualities required

• Experience in project management and governance of an NGO (support to the board of directors);
• Computer skills: word processing, databases and electronic communication;
• Excellent communication skills in English and French, written and verbal;
• Excellent interpersonal skills;
• Experience in web and social networks;
• Knowledge of the NDG borough;
• Organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize efficiently;
• Demonstrate autonomy and resourcefulness as a self-employed worker;
• Knowledge of issues related to commercial arteries, retail and merchant associations: an asset.

Terms and conditions

• Flexible hours. Includes the participation in the meetings of the Board of Directors (evening or day);
• Salary: to be determined according to the experience of the self-employed worker.
